Q3. What cost savings can we expect?
Cost savings vary from 30% to 70%, and sometimes higher for unique projects. We provide upfront quotations for all work undertaken. Each job that is new generally incurs an initial ‘probationary’ period during which costs may be higher while staff undertakes any training requirements and teams develop knowledge of the job required to be completed. This period is a fixed time, and costs will fall after this period – if it is required, as many of our staff have sufficient experience and knowledge of many systems and processes affecting both accountants and business alike.
Q4. Are you able to handle large jobs?
Teams can be combined or expanded to accommodate jobs of varying sizes.
Q5. How do we know our information is secure?
SKJ Accounting understands the importance of information security, privacy and confidentiality. We understand how private personnel information and records are to be treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality. That’s why at SKJ Accounting we have strong, reliable systems in place to maintain this confidentiality.
SKJ Accounting use the latest in IT security to ensure that your business and data remains yours. We use secure hosted servers, scripted filesharing and state-of-the-art on-line technology to ensure data security.
Through our IT partner we are able to provide computer systems (if you do not already have the appropriate system) that ensures no data ever leaves the country of origin and is always worked on in that country. Our staff are unable to download or print data unless specific permissions are received from our client. We pay our staff market or above-market salaries and every effort is undertaken to ensure temptation is removed. Our trusted multi-tiered structure also provides an extra level of quality control and security.
Q6. What are your standard working hours?

daylight savings) 11:30am to 8:30pm (ahead of India)

Ottawa 9:30pm to 5:30am Ottawa (behind India)
SKJ Accounting can work with you to determine a working time that suits your needs.
Q7. What quality control measures do you have?
Consistent quality is the hallmark of our services. This is achieved through standardised procedures enforced daily on all staff. We are people focussed and staff retention and training are of the utmost importance to us. Variance from any set procedures is only permitted with approval from the client. The procedure as discussed in this web page ensures in the first instance that all data to be worked on is assessed for errors and that the team to work on this data comprehensively understand the job they are working on and the client and their requirements and expectations before they do any processing of data.
The same team every time will be used for the same job. Many outsourcing groups move jobs and clients between teams, resulting in inconsistent and poor quality work. We believe that one team should operate with one client, unless specialists in other teams are needed. In addition to this, each team is controlled by a senior accountant with 10 or more years’ experience post-CA (Chartered Accountancy). These seniors assume not only control over work flow, but review all work being completed and sign-off before it is sent to the client.
Each team is maintained at a set specific team structure and size and do not vary. Teams are not broken up to create new teams. The structure ensures three stage quality control and a hierarchical training strategy.
Q8. What is your standard service level agreement?
Simply contact us for a copy of the standard service level agreement.
All agreements are customised to suit the requirements of our clients.
Q9. Are you willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement?
Yes – to the extent that the terms are realistic and commercial.
Q10. How do I contact you?
Initial contact is generally through email. After that, a team leader is nominated to your account.
Contact may then be maintained as per the requirements set out in the service level agreement.
Q11. How do we pay you for your services and what are your terms?
Payment can be made through a variety of methods and can generally be made in the currency of your country of origin (cost quotes can also be provided in the currency of your country of origin). We use PayPal, Visa, Master Card or direct bank transfer to process payments. You may be required to pay a deposit at the beginning of any major job during the probationary period. Otherwise, while terms may be negotiable for larger jobs, payment is required within 14 days of delivery of the work completion date and invoice date.
Generally all book-keeping jobs require a direct debit to be entered into for fixed price payments.
Q12. Do you provide an obligation-free pilot project?
During the probationary period, any agreement can be stopped immediately without any repercussions for either party, other than to pay for any work undertaken up to that time.
However, we also find it very effective to undertake a few pilot projects to provide a demonstration of our services and quality. These are generally charged at reduced costs to you and do not include any costs for training or over-runs. Subject to size, pilot jobs may be undertaken free of charge. These can be negotiated once the work has been identified.
For accountants, pilot jobs are free if you are unsatisfied in any way.
Q13. How do we get started?

We will contact you within 24 hours of receiving your email to work out the best way for you to save!
